Beachy Pics and Key Lime Treats

well, we had a rainy day yesterday, but thats why there are still some indoor activities, like naps and bowling, but we'll get back to that later.

i'll pick up where i left off last time though. those key limes? they made a couple treats! and i still had some left over, although i am not sure they will still be any good when i get back.

to the left here, we have key lime cooler cookies. or, greek butter cookies? i like key lime coolers though. i liked them. they remind me of those lemon girl scout cookies, except key lime flavored.

it is another pinterest recipe, and this was actually the second treat that i made, since i had an egg yolk left over to use! convenience! the recipe is from flavor the moments, and it is actually pretty easy! the best part is, as they said, covering these cookies in powdered sugar and making a huge mess. totally worth it.

i tried just sprinkling the powdered sugar on them with a sifter, but being entirely coated was definitely way better. also, they tasted weird warm, so definitely make sure they are room temperature before eating them.

second, (or first? since i made these first), i have some key lime "brownie" bars! these were super awesome, and quite literally, have the texture of brownies, except key lime flavored! they have an awesome key lime glaze on them too!

mine came out kind of small, but who cares. theyre delicious. i still actually have some of these in my freezer for when i get home. i ate all the tomato pie before we left, but couldnt finish all of the cookies and brownies.

continuing with summer, we finally made it to the beach on monday! yay!

the sun. the sand. the sounds. ohhh my goodness. this is what makes me happy. i seriously wish i could live closer. every time i was sad or would have a bad day, i could come here and forget about everything. take a nap. whatever. i seriously can throw all my worries away while im here.

yeah, i totally took my fancy camera to the beach. the bigger lens would have come in handy for some better zoom on some things, but i have the rest of the week to experiment, even though the week is going really fast. that is always the downside of vacation. it goes away too fast.

well, i am going to go out to enjoy the sunshine. i made muffins and dessert for later, but i will post pictures of those next time. i bought stuff for corn bread, too so that is totally happening. thanks for reading! have a good weekend! ♥♥♥
