Lemon Raspberry Cupcakes

someday i will conquer lemon cupcakes.

nice, fluffy lemony delightfulness. these guys are more like a pound cake. i hope they taste good to everyone else. i thought they were pretty good. the raspberry frosting has a nice little kick to it. tried them separately, of course, not together. i like the way they came out. little flowers. now all that is left is to set them up tomorrow morning. here is the link for the recipe, anyway. i didn't use the frosting, just because i needed a raspberry flavor, so i made a basic buttercream and, in place of the vanilla, used raspberry extract.

sigh. i guess i thought i had a little more to say tonight, but i am coming up at a loss. i went for a 6 mile walk on thursday with a friend. then we realized we had to walk back. yes, thats right. 12 miles in like 3 hours and 20 minutes or something like that. just my left foot hurts. not even sure why, even being just the left one. i suppose that's what i get though.it was fun. i need to get out more. we saw snakes. this one was kind of mad that we picked him up. the others didn't really care. if only they would stay that small so i could have one that wouldn't eat my birds.

speaking of birds, i've become pretty good lately at taking bad photos of my birds, kind of like bad photos of people, when they yawn, blink, etc. here's the latest:

errrrr meh gerd he is so special, i just wanna squeeze that fat face. yawning or not. i spent the afternoon, after frosting the cupcakes, sitting on the floor stretching next to him. i love when he takes his afternoon naps, since he snuggles in his ring like this. cosmo will sleep in his coconut shell sometimes, but every time i see fat face here, he is always cuddling with this ring. i suppose i will never understand why.
